

Originally, from Chicago, Cynthia Levin studied with Chicago’s famous Second City starting at the age of 15. Having trained and performed at many of Chicago’s most prestigious acting schools and theater companies, she then moved to Los Angeles where she began doing stand-up comedy.
Today, Cynthia is a seasoned, edgy and hilarious performer. Her ability to weave in and out of characters effortlessly and move audiences with her story telling ability has made her an audience favorite. She has been compared to many of our world’s favorite comic’s, such as; Lenny Bruce and Richard Pryer. Known as a “comic’s comic”, Cynthia was also popular in the Alternative Comedy Scene in Los Angeles, winning an “Always Makes Me Laugh” award and a “The Comic Who Least Repeats Themselves” Award. Cynthia was also named as “One to Watch” in the Hollywood Reporters Special Comedy Issue. She is co-starring in the show “Hollywood Love” with Amy Stiller and Katie Love, which is currently in production. Some of her comedy credits include ABC’s “Comics Unleashed with Byron Allen, Comedy Central’s, “Tough Crowd” with Colin Quinn, B.E.T.’s Comic View, The Stephanie Miller Show, opening comedian for the Off Broadway Production of “Puppetry of the Penis”, a winner in New York City’s Ladies of Laughter Comedy Competition, a semi-finalist in the NYC Comedy Central’s Laugh Riots Competition. She has also had the honor of going on several tours, performing overseas for our troops, including, “Tess’s 4 The Boys, Funny Honey’s Tour” where she performed in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Cynthia’s own mother, an ex-social worker, had this to say, “You’ve always been the truth teller in the family, Cynthia. But you know what, nobody wants to hear it.” That being said, Cynthia finished a successful run of her seventh one person show called; “10 Years to Life in LA County” which she performed in both LA and NYC.
Cynthia is also a seasoned actress and comedy writer. Some of her acting credits include the lead in “Stuck” which is coming out this month, a featured role in the film “See Jane Run” by the producers of “Swingers” and “Go”, “Out of Place”, directed by Todd Broder. She was in “Who’s the Caboose”, directed by Sam Seder and starring Sara Silverman, (her first role in LA). She was featured in the award winning, “Butch in the City” and she also appeared in the pilot, “The Cult” at The Just for Laughs Comedy Festival in Montreal. In addition, she wrote a screenplay which is in the works, entitled, “Unprepared for Life”, (An Almost True Story, Except for the Good Parts).
